Country and Western is a collection of country and western songs but you wouldn’t know it by the name. That is why we feel we should explain that our Country and Western CD is a collection of country and western songs. Both kinds of music. Country. Western. Be that as it may you will hear country and western music on this cd. Do not expect anything else. Except Kansas City.

Howdy Pardner, shell out the 17 bucks. We ain't had a beer in weeks!

Only 17 measley dollars

All My Ex's Live In Texas

All My’ Ex’s is our interpretation of Mr. George Strait’s hit. We actually do hang our hat (until we get kicked out) in Tennessee. We don’t have a clue in Hades where our ex’s live, though. Nor do we care.

Boot Scootin' Boogie

We like Brooks and Dunn. We never learned to line dance. We never learned to do any dance… well, maybe the bullet dance but that was in Sanford Florida. We did not have the opportunity to dance… we were always playing the music. Once an unscrupulous agent booked us in a “nice little nightclub” in Montgomery, Alabama. It was the same agent who booked us in Sanford for the bullet dance. “What kind of music do the patrons like?” We queried the agent (who shall remain forever nameless). “Just a real quiet mix”, said the nameless agent… “its just a small club”. Lonnie had a severe case of laryngitis when we arrived at the club. It seated over 400 people. There were only 42 teeth among them. We are a duo. This song and others like it saved us. There was no chicken wire. Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’. To be completely honest the patrons were really nice but that is not as exciting a story. Later we’ll tell you about Sanford. Sanford is an exciting story.

Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain

Yup. Here’s a Country classic. Should be on Hanks Place. This is our version of Willie’s song.

Kansas City

“How did this get in here”, we hear you ask. Wendy wanted it in here and that should be good enough for you. By the way, have you ever been to Kansas City? We hear there’s a new Cabela’s near there.

Rockytop

We live in Tennessee. Obviously this song is de rigeur. Why is it that one finds one’s self up in the Rocky Mountains but down in the Tennessee hills? One hears this song a lot in Tennessee. I have no idea why. Even bluegrass bands do it. So do we! Here it is! Enjoy! We are nice people! If you see us come up to us and introduce yourself! Shake our hand! Give us a hundred dollars! Next song.

I Love The Way You Love Me

This is why we truly like country music. The songs have a real melody line. You can actually use talent to sing them. You can understand the words and everything. What a concept! This is one of the prettiest ones.

Honky Tonk Attitude

We have one too. This is another of the songs that got us through Montgomery. We had as much fun as the dancers.

He Stopped Loving Her Today

We have a van we travel to gigs with. We bought it from “:Starvin’ Marvin here in Tennessee. The van is white and has a white with a leather interior. The name on the paperwork was “No Show 9”. Yup, you got it! We have George Jones’s old van! So it’s only right that we should do a few of his songs, don’t you think? What is really strange though is ever since we got the van we have had an almost uncontrollable desire for whiskey and we’ve had a hell of a time showing up for work. You’ll like this song.

Good Hearted Woman

Well, aren’t they all? Everybody knows this song. We do too. We like it. You will too.

Learning To Live Again

We have a friend whose wife just left him after 28 years. No fights. No recognizable trouble. One fine day this October at 3:30 in the afternoon she just announced that she was leaving. With everything. We have another friend. Her husband died on the 13th of October at 3:30 in the morning. This is true. This is a song about what happens next. Sorry folks… this is a sad one.

Folsom Prison Blues

Did we tell you we do a little Johnny Cash? Well, we do.

Neon Moon

This is another really pretty song. Our friend who’s husband died last month played our recording of this at his memorial service on the 27th of October.

Your Cheatin' Heart

This is a classic old country song by Hank Williams Sr. The Cakewalk Country Boys help us out on this one.

The Dance

We borrowed this song from Mr. Garth Brooks. According to him he borrowed it from someone else. We like it as much as he does. It is a very introspective song about pain and pleasure.

Hey Good Lookin'

As you know this is another big one by Hank Sr. You did know that, didn't you? Of course you did.

Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys

It’s a good thing we don’t have to write this file name in DOS. We don’t have a clue in hell how we’d shrink that title to eight characters. Well, as you’ll see we had a little fun with this one. Buy it… you’ll like it. Hell no, there’s no guarantee! Whaddaya think this is? Mickey D’s?
