Several times one of these jolly fellows would show up within touching distance to the boat. They are so grand of an animal I just had to find a way to turn the gourds into a rendition of the beautiful beast. And here’s what I’ve come up with. The manatee is approximately 12 inches long. The whole display is probably 14 inches wide by 12 inches high
Mushroom Lamp This was my first attempt at gourd art. It’s made from two different gourds and several smaller gourds were used for the little mushrooms. It is a real working lamp. There are so many interesting types of mushrooms. I find them as an art form in themselves. Since mushrooms don’t last long I decided to make a permanent replica. Name: Vgourd Size: 7 inches wide by 7 inches tall. Price: $55.00 US dollars.	VGourd This is a gourd that is so exquisite that just having it around is pleasing. Textured paint on the inside and pine needle collar along the opening. This gourd is approximately 7 inches high by 6 inches wide.
Bead Art This gourd also has some African influence. Sprayed with textured paint and adorned with fancy beads this becomes a nice container to store beads, buttons, your favorite tobacco or any thing else you could dream of. Name: African Gourds Size: 7 inches wide by 7 inches tall. Price: $55.00 US dollars.	African These two gourds were created using an African motif. A pattern of dots in several different colors captures the symmetry and brings out the overall shape of the gourds....Together they would look beautiful with an arrangement of flowers.
Leather The beautiful pattern on the outside of this gourd made me want to keep it as natural as possible. So I adorned the top with black leather lace. And dyed the exterior with an amber colored dye. Then just put on a few coats of varnish.	Name: Leather Gourd Size: 8 inches wide by 8 inches tall. Price: $40.00 US dollars.
Name: Fall Leaves Size: 8 inches wide by 8 inches tall. Price: $45.00 US dollars.	Fall Every year around fall people travel great distances to see the leaves changing colors. This gourd is a permanent reminder of the beauty of fall. Burned in on a bird house gourd are maple leaves. Than colored to bring back the memory of a beautiful fall day.
Snakes These gourds are also for decoration. They all three together form an interesting shape. They remind me of rearing horses in a passive but beautiful way.	Name: Snakes Size: 12 inches wide by 15 inches tall. Price: $45.00 US dollars.
Aquarium This gourd is huge it is approximately 15 inches wide by 12 inches high. I call this my aquarium gourd. Everyone loves an aquarium but not every one wants the responsibility of taking care of one. So on finding such a beautiful gourd I decided to create an aquarium that needed no maintenance. All the fish were first drawn onto the gourd and then burned in with a burn in tool. I then went back and brought in the color. And finally eyes to bring out the charters of my fish. Especially cute is the lobster whose tail makes up the curl in the top of the gourd.	Name: Aquarium Size: 15 inches wide by 12 inches tall. Price: $400.00 US dollars.
Name: Candle Center Piece Size: 12 inches wide by 15 inches tall. Price: $65.00 US dollars.	Candle This piece of art would make a great center piece for Christmas, Thanksgiving, or Hanukah. It was made using a snake gourd with several beautifully decorated gourd ornaments placed in the center. Seven candles signifying the seven days of the week.
Easter Basket Baxter bunny among all his beautifully decorated egg gourds. Each individually hand painted. And Baxter himself is also a gourd! But that’s not all even his bowl is a gourd! A wonderful adorable center piece for Easter! Bowl is approximately 13 inches wide. Baxter is approximately 8 inches long. The eggs are the size of a real egg. Silver Gourd Upon opening this gourd I realised that the gourd pulp had attached itsef to the one side in an instering form I decided to keep the pulp in and paint it silver.
